This is a very unusual dual purpose guitar. When I say “dual purpose” this is what I mean: it is a Travel Guitar and will fit easily in the overhead compartment of a commercial jet. But it also comes with an additional nut to convert the guitar into a “nashville tuning” instrument. Nashville tuning is stringing the guitar with the octave strings of a 12 string set. The octave strings used for this transition are also sold as a complete set from various suppliers.

Now to the details of the very unique instrument! The guitar has a spruce top and Maple back and sides. The binding, rosette, bridge, fretboard, heel cap and neck overlay are all made of bloodwood. The purfling is also red and white. There is nocolor black on this guitar at all. The bridge is an old style much like the Bay State instruments of 130 years ago. It is a number 4 reflected on the headstock. 13 frets to the body with a decorative inlay at the 12th fret. 23.5” scale.

How does it sound? Set up as a travel or nashville tuned guitar it sounds terrific. In my opinion this is the ideal guitar to write songs with. The nashville tuning gives it a sound much like a cross between a small guitar and a mandolin. Let your creativity soar!
